Frequently asked questions
How does Mimosa tenuiflora help damaged skin?
Mimosa tenuiflora is a plant extract obtained from the bark of the tree of the same name. Its compounds, including flavonoids, tannins and polysaccharides, support the natural repair process, help calm inflammation and help rebuild the epidermis.
How soon can results be seen?
Healing time varies depending on the type, size, location and depth of the lesion. The Cicaderm Cream clinical study followed patients' progress for 14–30 days.
Regular application and following your doctor's recommendations are important. If the lesion does not progress well or signs of infection appear, seek a medical evaluation.
Can Cicaderm be applied to an open wound?
Cicaderm is intended for the care of small, superficial wounds, according to the product instructions. For deep, extensive or contaminated lesions, lesions with significant bleeding or signs of infection, a medical evaluation is necessary.
For moist or exudative lesions, Cicaderm Spray may be more suitable, as recommended by your doctor.
Can Cicaderm be used for post-acne lesions?
Yes. Cicaderm can be used on skin damaged by pimples and to support the repair process, helping calm inflammation and reduce the risk of scarring.
Cicaderm does not treat the causes of acne and does not replace anti-acne treatment. Active or severe acne should be evaluated by a dermatologist.
What is Cicaderm Repair Cream and what is it used for?
Cicaderm is a cream for the care of sensitive and damaged skin. It helps the skin recover faster, calms inflammation and helps reduce the risk of scarring. It can be used for small wounds, abrasions, scratches, minor burns, post-acne lesions, skin after hair removal and certain dermatological procedures, according to the product instructions and your doctor's recommendation.
Can Cicaderm be used after laser or other dermatological procedures?
Yes. Cicaderm may be recommended for skin care after laser, electrocautery, microsurgery and other procedures for which the doctor considers it suitable. Procedures differ in intensity and recovery time, so follow the instructions received at the clinic regarding when to start, how often and for how long to apply it.
What is the difference between Cicaderm Cream and Cicaderm Spray?
Cicaderm Cream is especially suitable for damaged skin and dry lesions and allows precise application thanks to its nozzle. Cicaderm Spray is designed for moist or exudative lesions, hard-to-reach areas or areas too sensitive to be touched during application.
How and how often should Cicaderm Cream be applied?
Gently cleanse the affected area, pat it dry and apply the product directly to the damaged skin. In the clinical study, Cicaderm was applied 2–3 times a day for 14–30 days. In the initial phase of the repair process, application can be repeated more often, as needed.
