Collagen Elastin is a food supplement specially designed to maintain skin firmness and elasticity, reduce the risk of fine lines and wrinkles and the number of existing ones, improve hydration, support collagen and elastin production, and nourish hair, skin, and nails.
Ivatherm's anti-aging food supplement contains marine-derived collagen and elastin peptides, obtained through enzymatic hydrolysis from fish skin, a natural extraction method without solvents.
Collagen is an important protein for skin health. Naturally produced by the body, collagen accounts for 30% of total body proteins and 70% of total dermal proteins. After the age of 30, natural collagen levels begin to decrease, which is why external supplementation is needed.
Elastin is also a protein with an essential role in maintaining skin health. It represents approximately 2% to 4% of the dry substance in the adult dermis and has a structural role, contributing to the binding of collagen fibers. The main function of elastin is to give the skin elasticity, meaning it helps it return to its original shape after deformation.
As with collagen, elastin fibers deteriorate with age. The major difference between the two structural proteins of the skin is that collagen fibers can regenerate, while elastin fibers cannot. Therefore, there is an even greater need to supplement them through diet and nutricosmetics.
The Collagen Elastin supplement also contains L-lysine (essential amino acid, which ensures endogenous collagen production and stabilizes collagen chains), vitamin C obtained from Acerola (an essential nutrient that the body cannot produce, which is why external intake is needed, and which is essential in collagen synthesis), and zinc (which has anti-inflammatory and calming action on the skin).
When administered according to instructions, Collagen Elastin effectively fights against the signs of skin aging, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles and stimulating the healing of any lesions on the epidermis.
The results of a study on the action of collagen and elastin on the signs of aging showed that wrinkles were reduced by 19% in subjects who were given collagen and elastin, in contrast to those in the placebo group, who were given maltodextrin and in whom a 28% increase in the number of wrinkles was observed.
Moreover, at the end of the study, a maintenance of the wrinkle reduction effect observed in the first 28 days was noted, thus highlighting the long-term protective effect of the food supplement.
Sweetened with steviol glycosides from Stevia and enriched with a natural berry flavor, Collagen Elastin is water-soluble and easy to administer orally. 1-2 sachets per day of Ivatherm's Collagen Elastin supplement are recommended. Add 150 ml of cold water over the contents of a sachet, mix until completely dissolved, and drink immediately.
